Our Responsibility As Smokers

I read this article today and something caught my eye... Did you see the point that smokers are considered an undesirable element in Centerville?
It is our responsibility to speak out and let the government officials know that this "undesirable element" is the same group that follows the law, buys legal products, pays taxes and keeps them in office. If we don't speak out, we let a few poor examples of smokers ruin the experience for everyone.

Keeping Legal Smoking Blends Legal
As a smoker who enjoys legal herbal smoking blends, it is your responsibility to keep the products legal, both for yourself and others. To ensure this, here are a few pointers on responsible smoking practices.
* Don't confuse herbal smoking blends with incense. The large majority of incense products are labeled "Not For Human Consumption". This means you can legally possess these products for use as incense but, if you are caught smoking them, you can go to jail under an assortment of charges. Feel free to burn as much incense as you want at home. We love the smell of it. We may even recommend a few from time to time. (Clearly labeled as an incense product that isn't for human consumption, of course.) But don't put it in your pipe or roll it in paper if you don't want to go to jail. This is the most important part of keeping our favorite herbal smoking blends legal. If we can't be responsible for ourselves, our government will outlaw even more products due to guilt by association.
* Don't drive or work under the influence. Many herbal smoking blends are very potent. The effects vary from individual but herbal smoke can leave your faculties temporarily impaired. Your decision making ability can be compromised and, if you drive or perform some other dangerous activity, you could be charged with a crime, even though the herbal smoking blend is completely legal. Plan to smoke when you have time for it and can stay put until the effect wears off.
* Moderation is important, especially if you are trying a new product. As stated before, these herbal smoking blends can have some powerful effects. Take it easy and build up, rather than going for an all or nothing approach.
Finally, spread the word sensibly. Don't be recommending these products to anyone under the age of 18. Be considerate of others feelings about recreational smoking blends and don't try to force your opinions or thoughts on another individual. Sharing is good, Pushing is bad.
